HIGHLIGHTS
Early morning departure for Mt Pinatubo. In 1991 the dormant volcano suddenly erupted, becoming one of the more significant volcanic eruptions of the 20th century. Since then, the mountain’s breathtaking terrain and rugged beauty has drawn scores of adventure lovers and thrill seekers. Board a 4x4 terrain vehicles that takes you up the bedrock before you start trekking towards the lake to enjoy the fascinating views of the crater. After lunch, proceed towards Bacolor to visit the famous San Guillermo church which is half-buried in lahar flow and still being used today. Return to Manila and overnight. (B, L)
After breakfast transfer to Manila airport and board the flight to Legazpi. Upon arrival take a short tour of the city located at the foothills of Mt Mayon. Visit the Church of Daraga established by a group of Franciscan priests in 1773 and stunningly crafted using volcanic stones, and its belfry on one side. Continue to Cagsawa ruins, famous for its church that was destroyed by the volcanic eruption in 1814. Drive to Ligñon Hill which is considered a prime location for thrill and to catch a panoramic 360-degree view of the area. Overnight. (B, L)
Breakfast. Begin the tour of the Mayon Volcano that includes volcanic mudflow gulleys, Handmade Paper factory, Kobo Cutleries and Tiwi Ceramics. Optionally you can take an ATV and drive up the streams and lahar flow up of the volcano. Transfer to airport for the flight back to Manila. (B, L)
