This morning you set off for a drive through the Mekong Delta to the town of Cai Be, well-known for its floating market. Here you take a boat trip to visit pottery factory and continue by boat to An Binh island. stop at the home of a Bonsai gardener for a sumptuous Delta lunch, including the popular dish of "Elephant Ear fish". Take a rowing boat through the canals to see bonsai garden before change to motor boat to homestay. At leisure to chat with your host or you can bike around the fruit gardens or simply walk around island to get in touch with villagers, monk in pagoda or school children. Rejoin your car in Vin Long for transfer back to HCMC for overnight.
In the morning you take a rive to Cu Chi Tunnels to visit the underground tunnel networks. At its height the tunnel system stretched over 250km. from Saigon to the Cambodian border and was three levels deep. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life during the U.S.-Vietnam War must have been like.
